Fourth of July with Friends
•November 18, 2010 • Leave a CommentOur annual Fourth of July trip with the Fitches wasn’t a trip at all this year. We stayed local and did local “touristy” things…Smith Morehouse, breakfast at Ruth’s, fireworks at Liberty Park, Bee’s baseball game…oh, so fun!
Post Family Vacation 2010 – One for the books
•November 18, 2010 • 2 CommentsFinally…after 20 years of waiting! Buck finally got his wish and got to go to Lehman Caves in Nevada for a little family vacay. Yes…it did rain and SNOW on us the ENTIRE weekend, but never fear, we had a GREAT time! (I don’t know if the family will be up for camping with us again in 30 degree weather with rain, but we’ll sure try!)

Moab, April 2010
•July 28, 2010 • Leave a CommentWe decided to pack up and head down to one of our favorite places ever…Moab. We camped at King’s Bottom right on the Colorado River! It was so amazing! We were there for 3 days and spent our time doing all kinds of different things! Out of all of the times we have been to Moab, we hadn’t done any of the things we did on this trip! SO fantastic!

- We found a dirt road that went to an overlook of the same view you get from Dead Horse Point…only we were closer to the river.
- We cliff jumped here. Not only did we jump here, but to get to the jumping spot from where we were, we had to climb UP the waterfall!
- The sign said that there was a LONG stretch of super soft sand that might be impassable. Well…we passed it!
- Beware of the sign in Arches National Park that says that the road is passable with 4×4 and high clearance vehicles. It’s just a BIT more intense than that!
- Tower Arch in Arches. Never heard of it? I’m not surprised! After 2 hours on a 9.5 mile dirt road, I am pretty sure that we are the fourth and fifth people in the ENTIRE world to have seen this arch!
